What Guests Are Saying
Lock A campground is well-maintained and offers beautiful river views, spacious sites, and friendly hosts, making it an enjoyable place for camping. Visitors appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities, good connectivity, and access to water activities like kayaking. While the narrow and steep road to the campground and some dated bathroom facilities were mentioned as drawbacks, overall experiences were positive, with many guests eager to return.

We were there on opening weekend of the 2022 camping season. There was no hand soap in any of the dispensers (men's or women's). Electrical outlet in women's restroom did not work. I would think that those things would be checked in preparation for the first camping weekend of the season.
Other than that, the park was veray pleasant and relaxing.

My camp site was next to the Cumberland river. It had an excellent view. The showers were hot and the restrooms were clean. The campground looked well maintained.

Beautiful campground. Very nice sites, but they were not clean. Lots of trash on the ground and in the fire pit.

The location is amazing but was dampened by a large political flag at an adjacent camp site. Even if it had been for a candidate or party we supported, we don't think that is appropriate for a campground where others share common space and interests. We will return for sure but hope campgrounds make an effort to discourage expressions that are known to divide our civilization. Our experience was still positive but could have been much better.
