What Guests Are Saying
Lock A campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The spacious campsites, beautiful views of the Cumberland River, and opportunities for biking and relaxing are significant highlights. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, are noted as outdated and in need of upgrades, the overall experience is positive, with many guests eager to return.

Always a pleasure to stay at Lock A. Cheryl is very good, bathrooms always clean and tidy. Need more camp sites on the river! Move the Check in house to the west @ the in turn to the camp grounds. Move tent campers to the west, and add more RV back ins! River and activities is a gold mine for this expense!

Sitting by the Cumberland River watching barges being pushed by beautiful tugs is a very peaceful event. Most barges are carrying coal to the Nashville power plants. Some are caring fuel oil and are quite long.

Our campsite was right next to the river which was wonderful! We loved watching the beautiful heron that was our neighbor and watching the barges go by - except late during the night. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the bath facilities - that isn't the case at every campground. My only complaint is that the facility required treated firewood but had none for purchase. Most campgrounds offer firewood so we came with none and as tent campers, that's a very big deal. Overall though, in spite of crazy winds, we had a good trip!
