The camp host at the gate was an amazingly wonderful person. Very helpful and friendly. The site was great, while not on the water it was level, had water and electric with easy in and out access.

Lock A is outstanding! Nice sites right on the river; great trails for hiking; friendly staff and campers. We try to camp at Lock A once or twice a year!

This is by far one of our favorite campgrounds. The bike riding options are awesome, both trail riding and blacktop. Love watching the barges go by!
Suggestion: Its time to update the bathrooms.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds, with that said, we had one issue that should have NEVER happened.
The showers in both the men's and women's bath-house was terrible !!! There was so much mold and filth in the showers, we almost cancelled our time there. It's always been our opinion that the bathrooms make the campground !
Other than that, the campground was nice and clean and the Camp Host was very pleasant !!!
We'll be back !

We enjoyed our stay at Lock A. Upon arrival we were greeted, checked in, and given details for our stay. The area was clean, neat, and the cement pad was a large level area. We were on the water and viewed the tugs regularly. Everyone was very welcoming. We will definitely return.

It would be great if the rangers would set up programs for kids, like more water safety, nature programs and so on

Lock A is always quite. Plenty of bike riding choices to include 9.5 miles [one-way] of "rails-to-trails" biking. Former railway bed converted to walk and ride.
