What Guests Are Saying
Chilhowee Campground is praised for its beautiful natural setting, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite for repeat visitors. The campground features clean bathrooms, spacious sites, and a lovely lake for swimming, along with access to hiking trails, including the popular Benton Falls. While the access road is narrow and winding, and some areas may appear dated, the overall experience is highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful camping getaway.

It's hard not to like camping in the Cherokee National Forest. Particularly in the spring and fall.

Great spacious and treed sites. Beautiful paved scenic road up to the campground.
Dan and Jennifer are super hosts. Restrooms were clean and well stocked with paper, etc. Really good camping experience.

This was a beautiful campground! Each site is very spacious. Some are a little awkward to get rigs in and out of but they are still great sites. The camp host was super nice and helpful. There was an issue with someone helping themselves to our reserved campsite and the camp host was very apologetic about it happening and helped us get into another site that was closer to our other family site than the one we reserved and had way more room! We'll definitely be back here!

Camped with friends and family from our church. The weather was perfect and so was our time there. Loved it!

Had a great experience here! The campground is very well maintained. The site had a nice picnic table and fire ring, the tent pad was pea gravel and very level, and the sites were spaced well apart. The bath house was clean and lit for safety through the night. We were the only campers on loop C the night we stayed and felt very safe. The campground host was friendly, but left us to enjoy the solitude. Would highly recommend and will definitely return!

We were at site #11. Water was out of service. I paid for two nights of electric but the first night the power to the trailer quit. Next day the Ranger did come by and check the electric tower and said it had power. But still wouldn’t work. Called an RV repairman. $370 later he said the park electric tower was not working properly. I won’t be coming back here
