What Guests Are Saying
Chilhowee Campground is praised for its beautiful natural setting, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite for repeat visitors. The campground features clean bathrooms, spacious sites, and a lovely lake for swimming, along with access to hiking trails, including the popular Benton Falls. While the access road is narrow and winding, and some areas may appear dated, the overall experience is highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful camping getaway.

Beautiful site. Trails were great. Lots of trash at the vistas which made them a little disappointing to stop at.

Nice campground with beautiful surroundings. Nice hike to Falls accessible from the campground. Beautiful views at overlooks from road to campground but the 7 mile drive from the main road to the campground is long! The bathroom/ bath house could have been cleaner. Overall we liked the campground.

We enjoyed the walk to Benton Falls which is just a walk from the camping site. The waterfall was beautiful. We had reserved 3 nights of tent camping and decided to leave a day early due to the rude campers next to us who were up at 200am with their kids screaming. The kids were screaming and the adults were talking very loud. We decided to leave early and go find peace. The camping sites are too close for me. This trip might have just cured me from ever wanting to stay in a tent in a campground ever again.

Campsite F62. Spacious and level. Next to a campground loop road so there is a little traffic at times. Fairly private. Near the boathouse. No water or electric at this particular site, but spigots placed nearby to fill up if needed. Hiking trails nearby so no need to drive anywhere.

Absolutely gorgeous campground and surrounding area. The facilities were very nice. The bathrooms weren't very clean, but that obviously varies by host. We will definitely be returning to this campground.
