Had a great time at Thunder Rock campgrounds. It was rustic but so relaxing. My campsite was backed up to the river and you could hear the running water all night. Very pleased that they had clean restrooms and the grounds were also taken care of. No blaring music all night all the campers were friendly I would highly recommend.

This would have been a good experience if we had not misunderstood that the sites had water. Our fault entirely.

Nice campground. Bathrooms where clean and trash was not skewed about. Would most certainly camp here again.

Beautiful campground, excellent host. If you’re a guy, don’t forget to bring your own soap for the bathhouse. None provided for hand washing. Bring earplugs for sleeping. Some groups stay pretty loud

Great campground. Large sites so you don’t feel close to your neighbors. Great location.

Lovely sites at a small, scenic area. Does not appear to have much monitoring or maintenance, and we showed up to our reserved site to have a squatter there who was so bold he first tried getting us to “share” with him, then he next tried getting us to instead take another site — which was reserved for someone else. It’s not like he had camp set up, just some clothes on a clothesline, so we booted him, and he went and squatted at the other reserved site. The trash cans were emptied but the ladies’ vault toilet had no paper. Didn’t take a shower but the ladies’ side was reasonably clean but the men’s side was very dirty. Will definitely camp there again, though. We don’t need much for facilities, and the campground was beautifully scenic and quiet (except for nearby roadway noise that can’t be helped) and very reasonably priced.
