Love camping at Paint Creek. The bathrooms were clean. The camp hosts Bill is rude and confrontational. I’ve been camping here for 30 years and he’s the only one we have had problems with

When i made reservations i think that i should have been told that nothing could be left out, grill, coolers, cookware or anything that could not withstand 200 pounds of pressure. When i arrived i was given two full pages if rules that was enforced constantly throughout the day. Will not go back although i have camped there for the past twenty years.

Very scenic and remote. Great to get the full outdoor experience in the mountains for beginner campers. Bill was a great campground host and his buddy Jeff even helped us set up our tent. On our 3rd night, a thunderstorm rolled through, but the campsite provided great cover from the rain under the trees. 10/10 experience.

We love paint creek campground and Bill the host is the best. My only complaint is the fact of having great campsites but having to endure the horrible bathroom smell. Only pumping them once a year is not sufficient. They should at least be pumped halfway through the season. We love the great outdoors but that smell is a bit much. We tried burning candles outside to help cover the odor. You only really smell it the most in the adjacent campsites and maybe 2 sites down either way. That is totally not acceptable.
