The location is so unique and beautiful. Camp sites are tight, but it's understandable trying to accommodate as many people as possible to enjoy the experience.

The Chisos Basin was one of the coolest places I have camped in my lifetime! Absolutely loved the experience and made it easy to hike the Lost Mine trail, Window Peak trail, Emory Peak, and the South Rim Trail. Also a great home base for any activities towards the western and eastern areas of the park.

Definitely plan to stay multiple days, the park is huge! Bring sunscreen and bug spray! And don’t leave any snacks or anything in your tent because the ants will find it.

Great location. Lots of water throughout the campground. Many sites are small with very limited parking

We had a lovely stay here at the Chisos Basin Campground. Would highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore the outdoors! We loved climbing up Emory Peak, visiting the Balanced Rock, and swimming in the Santa Elena Canyon.

The campground was wonderful. the beautiful scenic back drop and the amazing weather made it even more spectacular! the only complaint was that there's a strict grey water prevention rule; so i couldve gotten my quarters ready ;) otherwise the experience was wonderful. great neutral location to get to all the sites and hikes.

Made a group reservation with friends and family and our experience was great! The campsite areas were well kept, the rangers and staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our hikes were awesome and the views never fail to amaze. Looking forward to returning once it reopens.
