Loved the campsite! Wouldn’t pick any other location in Bug Bend because it was surreal being in the basin. The bathrooms were well kept which was super nice! The rangers felt better welcoming as well. The other thing I liked about this location was you could hike from your campsite due to the location rather than driving somewhere to start a hike. Would recommend this location to anyone looking into camping.

Wonderful campsite with "private" drive and the vehicle is right next to the campsite. Then pitch your tent way back amidst the trees. Only drawback is you can hear ppl on the window trail but as long as you are up early that's not a problem. Bathrooms are clean, cool mountain air is refreshing. A gray fox is a regular visitor to this site but it's afraid of humans and won't bother you.

Site is quite a walk from the vehicle and also up a rocky path. You would think it is secluded and quiet but other adjacent campsites are also very close. The next camper talked so loud inside their tent we could hear every word, and they kept it up until after midnight. Bring your earplugs! Restrooms are clean and the cool mountain air is wonderful.

Enjoyed it. Try to get a campsite on the outside of the road if possible

Loved it but had a campground incident at 5:30 am one morning with 2 women who were talking very loud and woke everyone up. We attended the coffee with a ranger program and loved it. Very informative about recycling and the park. So great to hear about all that is happening and future steps to address these issues.

Great camp site facing the mountains. Small site, so best for just one tent. Nice to have shade covering. Very quiet, even with being right across from wonderful camp hosts.
