Paid the fee to reserve the lodge which was $148. Was then told I had to pay $7 for each vehicle to park. Called the number provided and was told I paid for 20 vehicles in my first payment of $148. Double lake then told us we did not pay for any vehicles. We ended up having to pay over $100 more for parking (we did not want our guest coming to our daughters first Birthday party to have to pay for parking). Once arriving, we learned there was no heat. They knew it was a first birthday party and it was In January and they didn’t mention the no heat nor am I aware of it listed anywhere. Also the tables were not like they said and it was not clean at all. I obviously had no idea what I was reserving or there is no way on earth I would have spent that amount to have a birthday party there. I was referred by someone who had a baby shower so I thought it was suitable but it is not at all (especially in the winter). We ended up having to buy space heaters so our guest would be comfortable enough to stay at the party. No one we can in contact with was any help when it came to figuring out any of the conflict. I would not recommend reserving this lodge for any function. We also had a biker come in the lodge and explain an individual that was harassing them outside.

Group site #D was great! It has its own little drive way and seems more secluded than the rest of the group sites. Other group sites are right on top of each other (A and B) and I wonder where everyone is supposed to park. Water is available at the sites even though it isn't listed as an amenity on Recreation.gov.
Note: During the week or when attendance is low park management closes the restrooms in the group loop due to potential vandalism concerns.

Boy do I have a list for you: First of all the restrooms are in very poor condition and one of the facility is closed due to repairs. The small fishing pier is gone or destroyed, ( I guess due to storms). that needs to be replaced and the larger fishing pier is on its last leg. The amphitheater needs attention as well. I remember going camping at Double Lake numerous times in the past and even though the previous restrooms and showers were much older they were well kept and in good working order. I hope soon these matters will be taking cared of. thank you

Numerous Bathrooms and Showers were closed due to lack of maintenance. There were trailers which looked like they had exceeded their 14 day limit (flat tire, broken pop up).

Double Lakes is our favorite campground. We love the pull-thru sites with full hookups. Taking walks is our way of enjoying the beauty of nature in the park. The park host Craig is so helpful and friendly.

MY FAMILY HAS BEEN COMING HERE FOR OVER 50 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. WERE IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING PLANS TO COME BACK IN MARCH. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE FISHING PIERS FIXED FOR BETTER ACCES TO FISHING. THE WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT BECOMING CAMP HOST IN THE NEAR FUTURE, SAY ABOUT FIVE YEARS. WE LOVE THE CAMPGROUND AND WILL CONTINUE TO VISIT IT. THANK YOU CAMP HOST FOR A WONDERFUL WEEKEND.
