We have camped in this park for a number of years and it's usually worked well; the last time was in 2019. However, this year we noticed that even though they had built two new bath houses, one was closed and the other was not cleaned on any of the 4 days that we were there. I guess that the worst problem was the fact that the only available dump station was out of order. We were told by another camper that it was somehow damaged during the recent hard freeze in February and had not been repaired. It would be nice to have such information at the time of making a reservation. In all, it would appear that the park is poorly maintained. It appears as if when something breaks, it just stays that way. This is unfortunate because it's relatively close to home and it made a nice two to three day retreat. We won't be going back and I would recommend that other campers consider other options, which are limited because this is the only park out of the three on lake Bardwell that's open year 'round.

Love the place, been going here probably 40 years or better. The dump station was down and no options given to use another parks dump station - but we were charged the same as if all amenities were avail.
