Got there on opening day after long COVID closure. Knowing people were coming. THEY HAD NOT MOWED. Was knee high. I had to go back home for push mower. Even mowed a strip down to lake. Was ok other than that. COE shoulda had this already done. They have the money. A crew showed up on second day mowing???? Bathrooms were nice. Month later bathroom by launch ramp was awful. Lights out. Fans didnβt work???? Wish could be tad better. Been coming here since 1964. Hope gets better!!!!

We loved site 28.It fit our needs perfectly and plan to use it again soon. Our only complaint is your roads, they are terrible ,!! You could ruin your tires, or worst still, need a complete wheel alinement
when you return home.
I hope on our next visit the roads are much better and we wonβt have to play dodge a hole!

Our 2 weeks spent at High View was good while in the middle of COVID19. We enjoyed our space, not close to other people and had lots of fun. The only drawback was bathrooms not being disenfected, but we survived.

From Ennis, Texas: From Interstate 45, exit onto U.S. Highway 287 Bypass (Exit #247). Travel 4.5 miles and exit at the Bardwell Lake exit sign. Turn left onto Highway 34 and go 2.5 miles southwest. After crossing the Bardwell Lake bridge, take the first left onto High View Park Road. Travel 0.2-mile to the High View Park entrance station.
High View is accessible via Interstate 45 and U.S. Highway 287 Bypass, with the U.S. Highway 287 Bypass exit located approximately 4.5 miles from the campground.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
