This is a great and quiet park to camp but note you must be in the gates by 10pm or you have to leave you vehicle there and walk back to your camp and it’s a good hike from the gate to the camp sights then you must be back at the gate at 6am to pick up your car so be mindful of the time

There is some good camp sites if you want to JUST camp. No swim areas, mostly swampy & super rocky waters. Wasn’t what we expected. I can say the people at the front office were very pleasant & kind people. Just wish there were more designated areas to fish and swim.

From Interstate 20 or 820 in southwest Fort Worth, take exit 429A for Highway 377 toward Granbury and go south 5.7 miles (9.2 km); turn left or southeast onto FM Road 1187 and continue for 1.4 miles (2.2 km), then turn left or east onto Ben Day-Murrin Road and continue another 1.6 miles (2.7 km) to the campground entrance.
Bear Creek is accessible via Interstate 20 or 820 in southwest Fort Worth, taking exit 429A for Highway 377 toward Granbury, approximately 5.7 miles away.
