What Guests Are Saying
Holiday, Texas offers a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the abundance of wildlife, including deer and turkeys. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use updates and there are occasional maintenance issues, overall, guests enjoy their stays and often return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near Fort Worth.

It was cold, windy and rainy both nights. Good for sleeping. Nice campsite. Too bad the weather prevented me from exploring the park.

It’s an older park, the area we were in was not taken care of. The closest bathroom to us was locked up and people were throwing trash in there, and the smell( well you can guess on that one).
Ground we were parked on we could not get very level. And it had electricity only which wasn’t a problem at all. Over all the area we weee in needed some attention. Site 74.

Site 101 was more than perfect! Clean, secluded and had a creek just to the side of the site. We’ll definitely be back.

Site fairly level. 50amp service. No water, but was able to top off at another nearby unoccupied site.
Need to install/repair water spigots .

The elderly lady at the front gate I don’t remember her name, but she has a very poor attitude and she acts like she owns the place and talks down to people that come to the gate to visit us when we’re camping. If you have a complaint you’ll know which lady I’m talking about

The folks are nice but the bathroom had no hot water. The grass was very high and was past needing to be cut. The folks at the front gate were very nice …

Agriculture not taken care of. Dirty bathrooms. Garbage at the campsites. There was human fecal matter at my campsite ( I took Pictures). No one returns or any correspondence through army Corp of engineers. Garbage overflowing. I was ther a week and never saw anyone take care of the grounds. The volunteer area looks like a homeless encampment. The garbage recepticals by the volunteers were full of beer case boxes.

We enjoyed our stay right up to the very last day. We were preparing to leave, in fact, the truck was running and backed up to our trailer, when we encountered a rude camp host. She drove thru in a pickup truck and asked if we were leaving. We told her yes. And she rudely informed us we had exactly 10 minutes to vacate the site. We felt this was unnecessary as we had the truck running and were hooking up the trailer. We were a bit shocked as this is the first rudeness we have ever encountered.
