What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Breaks Park offers a peaceful camping experience with clean facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful lake views. Many visitors appreciated the well-maintained sites with large covered picnic areas and ample shade from cedar trees. However, some noted issues with restroom cleanliness, site leveling, and occasional noise from other campers, indicating a need for maintenance and improved management.

Really great campground, but the bathrooms seriously need improving. That is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The campsites are paved with nice grills and fire rings. Also nice pavilions over the picnic tables at each site. We really enjoyed our week there and hope to return.

Love the amenities. Great water view, separate areas for each camper with outlets and water, great hiking trail.

Bathhouse could be cleaner, park was tidy, quiet, and peaceful so close to the city but so tranquil! Appreciated the accessible trash dumpsters on way out.

The campground in loop 2 was fair, no trees. The other 3 loops were closed. The bathrooms were very dirty, not cleaned daily and it shows, they have a contractor that cleans it once or twice per week.

It was my last day and I was trying to get everything packed up when Mary (I hope this is the right person's name) asked me if I was checking out. I told yes that I was trying to get everything packed up. She asked me if I wanted to have someone come look at me. I didn't understand why, but I must have been looking pretty bad. Her and another gentlemen said they would get the rest of my stuff loaded and to just wait in my vehicle. She then asked me again if she could have someone look at me. I finally told her okay. She brought a couple of men to look at me and they told me I needed to go to the hospital. I was sent to the ICU at St. David's Georgetown. I know there were several people from the park who helped me, but unfortunately I do not remember their names. While I was in the hospital, someone called me from the park and asked if there was something they could bring me. They could not find my brush and comb, so they bought me one. I needed the phone charger, so I don't know if they found mine or just bought me another one. I was diagnosed with Renal failure. It was hot and I guess I wasn't drinking enough water. Everyone that worked at the park are my heroes. I could have died and they kept my camper and jeep secure. I feel that everyone went beyond their call of duties. I am so grateful. I had my 3 dogs with me and they ended up going to Georgetown Animal Services. I just hope my next trip to the park goes better, but I couldn't have asked for any better help than from the employees at Cedar Breaks Park. Thank you so much. P.S. Is there a way I can talk to the employees in order to thank them personally?

Needless to say; I was not a happy camper since grass was so high and campsite was trashed. I couldn’t even set up my tent with waist level grass so I slept in my car. When I told the hosts at the entry gate they said to call recreation.gov to change sites. When I called they said it was up to Cedar Breaks Park. Just kept getting a complete runaround. Worst vacation weekend ever.

Had a great time. The park is extremely clean and well kept. The location is extremely close to Georgetown and even Austin.
