Great location, the site was close to Georgetown Lake, the lake was peaceful. Bath Houses were clean. Due to rain could not fully enjoy the park.

Always glad to have a chance to stay at Jim Hogg. It gives me a home away from home when visiting my family in the area.

We ran late checking out and the park ranger threatened to charge us with some bizarre citation, told us we had an hour, then fifteen minutes later showed up with four police officers to write a criminal trespass so that we could never come back to this or the other Georgetown parks.
Extremely rude to say the least. Can't say I recommend the place.

Beautiful sites right on the water or secluded in treed areas. Overall, highly recommend this campground for its beauty & general upkeep.
Also, my site had many beautiful deer coming & going & a nice view of the water.
My only complaint was that the men's shower by space 71 was not nearly hot enough, especially considering the chilly temps! I took one mostly cold shower
Multiple requests were made to increase the temperature. It never got hot hot enough even after pressing the "timed" on button multiple times. I was told to try a different bath house that had a faucet that remained "on" - which defeats the purpose of getting a site next to " facilities ". Additionally, I did find and try the recommended facility and it wasn't hot enough either. Also, it had rained and my site bath house had paved access while the others did not.
