Nice sites, spaced well, staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Love that we could collect downed firewood in the park. Location is convenient to Georgetown area. Reason for only 3 stars is the bathrooms/showerhouse! They are in need of MAJOR overhaul. No shower privacy, no hooks or counter space at sinks, push button water runs until it fills sinks but only lasts 30 seconds in shower. Ridiculous!

We had to change plans to get work done on our camper so extended our time at Jim Hogg. CG host very friendly and CG was well maintained.

Being January almost had the park to myself. Nice drive thru loops with a large picnic area. The personel were great. Not a far drive to Georgetown for supplies, etc

Toilet paper ran out and I tried to call the office but the mailbox would not take messages. Bathrooms kinda needed an update. Too cold to even take a shower. The door was always propped open so it stayed cold in the restrooms

I stayed here for 2 weeks over the holidays and absolutely loved it. The lower loop (not on the water) was pretty sparse with people so it was nice and peaceful. The spaces are huge with lots of grass in between so felt very private. Park is gated as well and at the end of a very nice neighborhood. Dump station is easy to get to by the entrance. Grocery store down the road, nice trail that goes all the way around the lake and starts right at the campground. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll definitely return!
