Beautiful park so peaceful and quiet. Gorgeous views, need to bring blocks some of the sites not level, but worth it.

Love the big sites overlooking the lake and I always see deer & wildlife around. Friendly people. I stop every year when visiting my friends on my way through its reasonable priced. The negative is the restrooms, they need updated, main door would not close & the water barly gets warm & while in the shower a little boy stuck his head under my shower door it startled me..his Mom got him & apologized...but he could have easily crawled right in along with any animals that might wonder in. The showers need to be more private and nicer as sometimes we Rvers like to take a nice long hot shower to treat ourselves out from our Rigs!

We enjoy our visit to Jim Hogg. We came to wait out some repair work to our T@B at Princess Craft in Round Rock. The park host was very friendly and helpful. Park had electric and water hookups and paved site. Well spaced with many having views of Lake Georgetown.

Overall the park was fine but while we stayed for 3 days 4 nights we saw people who looked to be LIVING in the park. One spot had a travel trailer with a lot of garbage all around it, their Dodge pickup was up on a Jack, when I would walk my dog by they had a pit bull on a chain leash who would aggressively bark at us. The bathrooms had worms in the shower all along the edge. We have stayed at other state parks and had higher expectations than what we experienced, we personally would not stay again.

By far the worse experience I ever had at a park. My electric box had no power, took almost 2 hours before someone came to fix it. It couldn't be fixed. The park host came to my campsite 3 different times the first day to harass me about my dog being on a leash. She was tied up the entire time. The park host was very rude, very loud, and very disrespectful the entire weekend. She stopped by my campsite 7 different times, my neighbor had his music louder than mine, and she fussed at me for music. I would have to say my ethnicity had lots to do with it. We had 7 families camping for Thanksgiving and we all had visits from the park host. From dogs, music, and vehicles, but yet, everyone was doing the exact same thing. Our family tradition will continue on at a different park, I will not allow a racist park host to ruin another Thanksgiving.
