As usual, I had a good go. Plenty of separation between campsites and backing the trailer in was easy. Good walking in the mornings. Have been there a couple of times and it's always been good. Being close to stores also helps.

The grass and weeds where very high we had to go get a weed eater and cut them down just to walk around our campsite. We have camped here many times before and not have had this problem not sure what’s going on.

Grass was 3 feet tall. Couldn’t even go out a door without fighting weeds. Could not eat outside. Could not enjoy nothing. Dog could have gotten laid at in the tall weeds

OK Park. We usually stay at Cedar brakes, but the park was full so we opted to stay at Jim Hogg instead. It was our second time staying at this park and it is starting to really show its age. Grass needs to be cut. It was up to my knees. Made it very buggy. And only one main bathroom for the whole loop. Overall, it was OK.

Pretty campground with a great view of Lake Georgetown. The hosts are at the gate on the weekends only. You will see them riding the golf cart around making sure things are good. Electricity and water worked fine. Dump station available. Boat ramp available. The grass/weeds looked like they haven't been done in a month or so which was disappointing. They have covered picnic tables. Roads are ok, could use a little work. Sites are mostly level.

We enjoyed our time at the campsite. The staff were friendly and the campsites were clean and nice. I will say the facilities need a lot of work. If you are planning on showering just be prepared that there is not great showers. Either no water pressure or a pressure washer. You have to press a button which gives you about 1-2 minutes of shower time and then repeat. You also cant control hot/cold. Really hard to do with littles.

The park as always is nice. The big issue is the Trees hanging over the roadway that do damage to the RV roofs. These need to be trimmed asap. Most of the need is common since park maintenance -Please trim the trees!!

Jim Hogg Park located in Georgetown, Texas has been the most exhilarating park I've come to enjoy camping, hiking, view the lake, utilizing the restroom facilities with showers (awesome), taking evening walks around the park for the beautiful scenery, and wildlife (Deers).
The staff and volunteers always display the highest level of professionalism, outstanding customer service with a smile, plus provide an abundance of information at your request. Let me tell you my favorite sites starting with site #83 very shaded area as well as across from the restrooms perfect site, site #80 is a Shelter that can accommodate an RV or Trailer, and a total of 4 vehicles, plus inside the shelter are three platform beds (bring your own sleeping bag or mattress), a ceiling fan and lights, a desk that can be used for cooking or setting up your electronics items, 2 electrical outlets near the desk, the front door has a combination look (code is given in the email), lots of space.
All around the shelter it is screen in so no bugs will enter, also there is a latch lock from the inside this site as well is close to the restrooms, site #117 is a favorite as well very shaded you can drive or walk to the restrooms as well as the dumpsters for emptying garbage. Site #80 and 83 or closet in walking distance to the dumpsters.
You will love your stay here it's so peaceful, quiet and very secure by the ranger patrols. Beautiful scenery before arriving to the entrance of the park. Amazing beautifully built homes with deer's wandering around eating grass and crossing the street so be careful even if the speed limit is 40 mph think of the deer's safety. Enjoy !
