What Guests Are Saying
San Augustine Park is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms and friendly caretakers who enhance the experience. Campers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and excellent fishing opportunities, making it a favorite destination for many. While some concerns exist regarding electrical hookups and maintenance, overall, visitors enjoy their stays and look forward to returning.

This is a quiet park with beautiful views of Sam Rayburn. There aren't a lot of cleared trails or things to do, but it is still a family favorite park for us. Just outside the main gate, there is a small store that serves yummy looking, home-cooked food.
The main camp bathroom (by the boat ramp) is clean & well-lit. My family stayed over Thanksgiving, and taking a shower (when it was cold outside) was hit or miss for warm water. It was either perfectly hot, almost warm, or so cold it felt like an hazing/initiation (sometimes all 3 during the same shower, lol). The women's bathroom (near the 80-100s sites) is missing lights, so don't go without a lantern at night.

Beautiful campground, well maintained. PLayground was very nice. We are planning a summer trip with grandkids and are really hoping the SWIMMING AREA will be repaired and open for grandkids to enjoy!!!!!

Site wasnβt great, the ground was so unlevel I could hardly walk on my artificial leg. We had to leave early because it had rubbed blisters on my stump but other than that we loved it. Weβll be back.

Great park to take a quick overnight trip with the grandchildren. Didn't realize it when my wife booked the park, but my Dad had taken my siblings and I many times to the exact place when we were children. I'll be bringing my grands back!

The hosts are good folks. The only downside was that, while I was on the lake fishing all day, someone drove thru and stole my $50 100β extension cord.

It is quiet and nice but the condition of the asphalt is horrible. Husband fell down. Also we were at site 65 and our surge protector was extremely hot when I unplugged it. Not sure we will be back for a while.
