What Guests Are Saying
San Augustine Park is praised for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a peaceful getaway for campers. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained facilities, including the restrooms and showers, as well as the scenic views of Sam Rayburn Lake. Some areas for improvement include the need for additional electrical upgrades and more frequent grass maintenance, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

Part of the campground was closed. Our campsite was easy to find. The staff was friendly and we felt safe. The view of the lake was amazing! Bathrooms were clean and cleaned regularly. We had a great camping experience!

Very nice park. The sites can be a little difficult to level. Park was clean and park attendants were very attentive.

The website is not accurate on what sites are available and how big they are. We were in site 51 and the website says the parking pad is 33 ft long, our camper is 30 ft long and the only way we could fit is with our camper hanging over the pad at the back so we did not stick out in the road

This park has space therefore has a lot of potentials. Camping sites need an update as it appears no improvements have been made since the building of the park. Most picnic tables have no covers. Some sites are located on the water and all are near the water. Camping sites have space and kept clean as well as the bathrooms. We visit the park often and always enjoy being in the outdoors.

There was enough campers to have opened another section of the park. The one available toilet / shower was crowded for the number of campers. Constantly running out of TP & toilets were always stopped up.
