Campsite was grown up. Very very tall grass and lots of debris on the pad. Had to go home and get weedeater and blower. It was awful.

Great area. Constantly deer wondering around which is cool for the kids to see. Dollar General with friendly staff right down the road made it nice in case we forgot something or ran out of something.

Only thing keeping me from giving Johnson creek 5 stars is that it wasn’t mowed. Other than that loved it.

It was a very quiet park. The bath house is older and needs some repairs. We love fishing but the fishing pier wasn’t accessible and we had to fish from the boat ramp.

The campsite was very nice being close to the lake. We tent camped and the view at night and morning sunrise was beautiful. The only complaint I would have is the bathroom, although little clean , one shower did not work and there were spiders and ants everywhere. Hard to shower with cobwebs everywhere and ants in your stuff. This was in the tent area. Not sure about other restrooms there in campgrounds. We camped in both t201 and t205. It was a very relaxing week We love Johnson Creek campground. The deer are beautiful to watch as you stroll around the campground. It’s quiet and the view is beautiful.

I’ve camped at this campground several times but this past experience was not so great, grass was knee high and ants were crawling everywhere even after applying ant repellent.

We love coming to this spot, one of our favorites. Peaceful, beautiful lake and big pine trees. Always see people fishing and kayaking on the lake. Clean bathrooms with shower and toilet all in one. Quaint small town of Jefferson close by and nice larger town of Marshall not too far that has just about everything you might need.
