Park very clean, pad had great solid surface! Loved the trees and walking near the water! Only two complaints:
1) one mens shower was out of service
(Water spewing out of a hole in the wall!)
2) several neighbors played loud toss game until midnight every night! Isn’t there a “quiet time” rule? Say 10pm?

Second time staying here. Really enjoy the area and easy access to the charms of Waco. I did discover that there is a sort of a trail behind site 16 that leads to Woodway Recreation Park. The path seems to be the remains of an old asphalt road that seems to have ringed the lake. There are visible remnants along the water’s edge in Midway Park as well.
Woodway park contains several trails through the woods. It’s a nice resource.

Great place to camp, feel like you are away from it all but still close to town if that's your thing.

One of my favorite campgrounds on my Texas trip. Very reasonable cost. Sites are spread out. I definitely would stay here every time I visit Waco.

We were having truck problems after we got there to midway and had to stay over the 14 day limit. Between Jan at the gate and Jarod at the corps we couldn’t have been in better hands. These two went above and beyond to be both humanitarians and stewards of their positions. If not for them we would have had to find a way to move our camper when out truck was in the shop. Both of them are owed all of our gratitude that we can offer and they are an awesome asset to your program.

We were in site 19, inner circle, in the trees. A long flat shaded site with 30A power and water hook up. Nice picnic table and grill.
Some of the outer circle sites had a gradient up to the site. Very close to highway but not too noisy.
Enjoyed Waco, visit the Magnolia Silos just a 15 min drive away.
