Wonderful park, beautiful site on Waco lake. Close to Magnolia and city sites. Since you're close, you will have some traffic noise but not to bad. Large site, good utilities. We did not have sewer, but dump station was very easy to get to. Highly recommend this park.

I only thing disappointing was a burn ban in place. But we can understand that

Great campground. Bathrooms were clean and well lit. RV site utilities were in great shape and the sites are very well maintained. Gravel was raked, and the spots were very level.

I really enjoyed camping at Midway Park. There are lots of trees for shade and the sites are long, level and not spaced too close together. Will definitely be back.

Friendly staff and nice campground. We did find an unmarked hiking trail from the Midway Campground to the Woodway park next door.

If I was on a lake loop spot and the women's showers worked, I'd give it a 5 star. But the spots by the highway are very loud. Also only 1 of the women's showers worked, and it barely got warm, certainly not hot. Otherwise it's a nice spot on the lake and the people at the gate were very friendly and helpful!

Park very clean, pad had great solid surface! Loved the trees and walking near the water! Only two complaints:
1) one mens shower was out of service
(Water spewing out of a hole in the wall!)
2) several neighbors played loud toss game until midnight every night! Isn’t there a “quiet time” rule? Say 10pm?

Second time staying here. Really enjoy the area and easy access to the charms of Waco. I did discover that there is a sort of a trail behind site 16 that leads to Woodway Recreation Park. The path seems to be the remains of an old asphalt road that seems to have ringed the lake. There are visible remnants along the water’s edge in Midway Park as well.
Woodway park contains several trails through the woods. It’s a nice resource.
