Summary

Speegleville Park is a peaceful campground with spacious, well-maintained sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great spot for relaxation and wildlife observation, particularly deer. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and the park's proximity to Waco, as well as the cleanliness of the area. However, there are notable maintenance concerns, particularly regarding restroom facilities, grass upkeep, and road conditions, which detract from the overall experience.
When I return to my hometown of Waco, it's nice to bring my RV to Lake Waco that I grew up on and around my whole life. I can bring my dogs with us, and don't have to stay in a hotel, or impose on my family. Also we really love being out in nature.
I would like to recognize Mark the gate watcher he came down and mowed our site it was a mess. I would suggest contracting a company to mow real soon because it will be too tall to mow in the next 2 weeks with all the rain.
The parks would be much more enjoyable and appealing if the grass would be mowed on a regular basis.. myself and other campers mowed our own campsites.
Great park! Campsites clean. The part time staff does a great job. County or Park needs to fix the large holes at the entrance area, its hard on trailers and boats etc.
The lady working at the gate on the weekend was very rude to us . Almost felt like she was racist she insisted on just watching over us the whole time we were there and felt very uncomfortable.. I recommend anybody else that is any other color than white. Do not stay at that park.. had been going there for years. Never had a problem. Tell that lady came in about a month and a half ago and then we had a problem never again.
Entering the park needs improvement roads are horrible and signage is needed. One sign say this way to rv park as well as gps and actually need to go straight. Park needs some up keep branches on the ground and low hanging from trees, grass was tall. Probably one of the most neglected COE have been too.

From I-35, take exit 330B Hwy 6 N toward Meridian for about 6 mi. After passing over the Lake on the Twin Bridges, take the first exit toward Lake Waco/Speegleville Park. Take a left on the access road. You will continue past the Twin Bridges Park about a quarter of a mile until you reach Overflow Road. Turn right on Overflow Road and drive for about 1.5 mi until you reach the entrance on the left.
Speegleville Park is accessible from I-35 via exit 330B, which connects to Hwy 6 N. Hwy 6 provides access toward Meridian and is approximately 6 miles from the campground.
