Area was mowed the day before our arrival and there was trash everywhere, including in the fire pit we covered it all with a rug, but missed the fire anthill. Good times. The spot would have been great if it had been better maintained.

Stayed here several times since it’s close to the house. It was in poor condition relative to past stays. The grass has not been mowed regularly and is knee high in most places. The water hook ups all have a few inches of standing water so it’s a wet process to connect and disconnect and the rain is a few days old so clearly a drainage issue. No sewer cap at the dump station, just a bucket of rocks. Overall it was disappointing to see it trending downhill on a holiday weekend. The COE is working on a plan to lease these parks back to their respective cities so maybe they’re just being ignored until that finalizes. Either way, generally a decent option on the lake but not as well kept as in the past.

Park is not maintained very well. The gate policy is a significant problem. Unlike any recreation.gov park in which we have ever stayed. We will not return.

Beautiful location. My only complaint is the grass was extremely high which invites ticks and snakes

Trees over loop need to be trimmed up and out of roadway to clear taller rigs. Dragged branches under every tree. Damage to my rig most likely.
Camp Spots are Poorly maintained, unlevel, hold water. Mowing needs to be done.
Dumpsters are at entrance to camp Sites making
Backing it extremely difficult for longer rigs. Build a pad and put them by the entrance/ exit and out of campers sites. They smell.
Trees are in poor shape. Most are dead or dying.
People working there are nice.
Probably worst kept COE park we have stayed at. And we stay at a lot.

The site was clean and maintained. The fire pit was too far from the site. The staff were friendly and helpful. Easy access to a boat launch.

This campground is in a badly rundown condition. They had a lot of rain before our stay and numerous campsites were badly flooded. The loop road had been repaved sometime in the past and is now higher than the camp pads which are very deteriorated. They are no higher than the surrounding grass and have potholes, which were full of water. Campsites should be a little higher than the grass around them, and slightly domed from the center out to drain. That condition simply does not exist here due to poor maintenance. The camper- volunteers seem to to their jobs, but the problems here are beyond the scope of their duties. Will not stay here again. Do not recommend.
