The gate remains closed until 10am so if you go out to breakfast and want back in before 10am you will have to walk back to your camper-possibly a half mile. The volunteer manning the gate will not budge.

My husband and I have stayed here several times and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The camp hosts are lovely people, and the camp itself has wonderful lake views and is quite peaceful. We love it!

I have been to the campground at East Fork lake in TX 5 times. The camp hosts are good people. They have always helpful to answer any issues I have had. Always helpful when I arrive to pick a spot right for me. I like that you can just walk to lake to fish on shore or put your boat in water.

I spent ten days on the grounds. The restrooms were clean and someone stopped by everyday to check them. Dumpsters were easily available. The hosts were gracious and willing to answer questions or offer resources if they didn’t have the answer. There was even an on-site RV tech (Happy Camper Mobile RV Repair, Inc.). He travels and this is one of his stops.

FANTASTIC Campground! We stayed for two weeks and had great views of Lake Lavon. Our site (27) was pretty level and had plenty of room. The dump station is convenient but not too close to smell. Dumpsters and bathrooms are easily accessible, and the campground is right in the DFW metroplex, so you have easy access to EVERYTHING! There's a Wal-Mart super-center literally just outside the gate!

We always love our time at East Fork! The 2 couples who man the gate are wonderful!

Nice park but badly needs an overhaul.
The bathrooms were disgusting and not cleaned the entire week we were there. I understand it's off-season but that's unacceptable.
Hosts were very friendly. Campsite was nice enough, did hold some water after the weather.
