The website (plus the original website we found this campsite on) stated that it was off-leasg dog friendly and it's not. The campsite is also not as it appears on the map, each site is stacked on top of one another and we had other campers cutting through our campsites day and night. The camp hosts were very rude about our dogs not being on leash, which again we reserved this campsite because it said it was dog friendly. Several campers around us were loud and intoxicated all night and nothing was said to them by the hosts.
It's a long drive over wash board roads for a subpar campsite. We definitely won't return.
It would be great if the website was updated and campgrounds are more accurately represented. The only upside was the fishing at the reservoir was decent.

Great site! Loved being close to the reservoir. The bathrooms were also way better than expected.

It was great weekend. I had my dog on a leash the whole time but quite a few others were not !
The camp host doesn’t clean up very well .. bathroom was clean .

The couple that oversees this location was super great. There has been an increase of rowdy “patrons” just cruising through, stealing firewood and toilet paper. They were very good at coming around and checking in on us and watching out for us. We loved taking our kids camping here and will come again

Excellent campsites. Hook ups worked well. Water was off for one day due to tampering but was up and running the next day. Beautiful surroundings and good company. Can't ask for more.

One of the only spots in Loop A with minimal shade.

Current Creek is great! The reservoir is not too far from the campsite and the place is very nice and clean. They even have flushing toilets and running water! The only downside would be that the campsites are pretty close to each other and all the sites were full. If you are looking for a secluded place, this isn't the area for you.

The camp hosts are really nice and helpful. The fishing was great and we found other campers to be really nice. We love going to Currant Creek every year!

Enjoyed fishing at the reservoir. The ~1 mile hike to the top of the hill at loop D was enjoyable & scenic. Driving 14 miles to Lake Creek Summit had fantastic views of the Uintas.

Location Currant Creek
Address:
Wasatch Cache National Forest
Heber City, UT, 84032
United States
From Heber City, Utah, take Highway 40 east for 45 miles to the Currant Creek Junction. Turn off the highway and travel in a northwest direction approximately 17 miles to the campground. The road from the highway is paved for 10 miles and graded gravel for 7 miles.
Stay on the most traveled road. When there are Y's in the road, stay on the road on the east side of Currant Creek, following the Creek to the dam. When you get to the dam, follow the road almost all the way around the reservoir, and you will find the campground near the southwest end of the lake, a short distance from the dam.
Alternate Route:
Take US Highway 40 from Heber City and travel approximately 22 miles southeast to FS Road 082 (Coop Creek Road). There is a Coop Creek sign on the north side of Highway 40. Turn north (left) at the sign and travel approximately 8 miles north. At that point there is another sign for Currant Creek Campground. Turn right at the sign and travel approximately 6 more miles east and south to the campground.
