We were in Space 9A. It was on the banks of the Green River with the rugged mountain behind. It was very beautiful and a very quiet campground.

Green River Campground was a lovely place to stay. We were there two nights. The scenery was beautiful, but the best thing about it was how quiet it was. There were no loud campers, no late night parties or even road noise sounds. It was so peaceful. I don't know if it is always that way, but when we stayed in mid-September, that's the way it was. We loved it!

Great little campground with a variety of sites to select (shaded, open, small, larger, etc.). All sites seemed to have paved parking pad, which was nice. Bathrooms were kept clean and had 2 flush toilets and a sink w/mirror. Campground was maybe 1/3 full, so we could select any open site, even though we made reservations for site 8. There was no shade, so we opted for a different site in the other section - site 61 and the camp hosts were great about the change. With it being this time of year, we didn’t miss no hookups, so it was pleasant for sleeping.

A beautiful campground, and very quiet. Very clean, and even with some recycling, though it could be expanded...please!

The campsites themselves vary quite a bit in size, privacy and shade (which you'll want on hot days). The area is a dark sky area and you can see many stars and the Milky Way galaxy when the night is clear and moonless. Good campground to stay if you're traveling thru the area. The dinosaur fossil wall in the Quarry Bldg is a must-see experience.
