Some campsites were shaded by a grove of cottonwoods. Our campsite was on the edge of the campground. Exposed and unshaded in 100 degree weather. Not a pleasant stay.

Clean, flushable toilets and cold water from the spigot. Many of the sites didn't have shade and was HOT in June. Campground hosts were kind and accommodating. Ranger talks on-site were a plus. It was easy to find FCFS sites, although after 4p on a Friday, everything was taken. Cottonwood trees were in full force if you have allergies. For extra hot days, the Uintah Rec Center in Vernal has a great pool. Trails near Josie's cabin are in full shade.

The campground house was very nice and accommodating when we wanted to switch our spot! Clean campground, full of nice people. The bathrooms were also kept cleaned up! We would definitely stay here again!

Spectacular views from the campground and surprisingly the bugs were not too bad. Our ATT hot spot worked great but could not get any data with our Verizon phones. The ranger talks just started back up and our daughter loved them. I highly recommend this campground but be aware if you are traveling in an RV there is not a dump station or fresh water available via hose bib. I would recommend you take care of this at the Mavericks in Vernal.

Arriving at Green River Campground was like finding an oasis in the desert. Such a beautiful spot! We only stayed for one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Dinosaur National Monument did not disappoint, and we also had a great meal at Betty's Cafe in Vernal before heading out of the area.

The campground is absolutely beautiful, the bathrooms clean, quiet hours were respected, the water was decent-tasting, and hikes and the visitor center were very close. I highly recommend this campground!

Great place to stay while visiting Dinosaur. The campground is on the Green River and there is a great hike along the river just steps away from any campsite. It is also easy access to the visitor center which is a must stop. Take the tram from the visitor center to the dinosaur wall- very cool! Lots of great hikes in the area. The only downsides are the chipmunks and fireants- they are everywhere.

I had a very nice pull through that had a grassed area between my space and the road. Most other pull through sites are on the road. The sites are paved and level. There are no hookups and no dump station at the park. Only 5 miles to the Visitor Center where you can get a ride up to the quarry site. Quite a few trails to enjoy.
