The visit was just fine. US national campsites would be better if they offered showers. I tried to cancel the first night, but the website was cumbersome and only interested in telling me there would be no refund. My interest was in letting the park know they could rent the site for that night.

This campground is gorgeous. Camp host Nancy was WONDERFUL and so friendly. It was so peaceful and serene, a birdwatchers dream. Bring extra shade devices in case your site doesn't have a big cottonwood — it does get toasty midday.

Great location to tour Dinosaur National Monument. Nice hiking trails. Camp Host was great.
Flush toilets and water spigots in several locations. Beautiful views from any campsite.

I was loving the site, and it’s pretty, quiet setting until someone stole a couple of things I left out at my site while on a day trip. I feel this is pretty standard practice, leaving out your camp chair and such things you don’t want to keep packing away. I told the camp host, and apparently ‘it happens here,’ so someone able to keep coming in and out of the camp ground to scout for belongings, is taking peoples stuff. Which is a real shame and doesn’t make me feel very safe.
It was 100$ worth of camp stuff, I’ll have to get over it. But just a warning not to leave anything out if you leave for the day.

So convenient to the sights and sounds of the Dinosaur National Monument. Campsite is as advertised. Paved pullouts level enough that we didn't even have to use risers. Flush bathrooms a plus and always clean and stocked with TP. Note: no paper towels or hot water.
Loved the view from our spot in Loop A. Ours was a early May visit so the lack of shade at our spot was not an issue, I can imagine it gets hot
in the summer months and there is a no generator use after 9 pm, so that might cause some discomfort for some.
Loved it!!
