Nice campground very close to the river. Quiet at night and very dark in the evening for stargazing.

A beautiful camp site! Camp hosts were soo nice and the rangers do a good job of making sure everyone is paying attention to attending their fires, etc. You’re right on the River so keep in mind there will be mosquitoes.. There were SO MANY and we got utterly destroyed by them. Views are great though! Unfortunately we did have two big red ant hills on our campsite which had us a little weary. My partner and I didn’t get bit but I’m pretty sure my dog did at one point. Overall a great campsite and would definitely come again— with more mosquito protection. :-)

Good experience. The parking spots were too close together for a national campground. Otherwise a beautiful setting.

Great 2 day dry camping experience with 25 other Airstreams. Rec. gov has to start accommodating group camping at the National Parks or miss out on guaranteed income and other benefits. Green River is still a hidden gem that we were able to take advantage of.

Spent three days at Green River Campground. Clean, well maintained, and great nightly programs by the park rangers. Plenty of things to keep you busy - hiking, dinosaur quarry, relaxing, fishing, etc.

Campsite was wonderful. DNM is a beautiful place and it was great to be at this site. Not loud at night, easy to navigate and great facilities.

The camp sight and restrooms were clean. Our view of the river was exceptional. The quarry was very informative and we walked the trail back downhill to our car. We drove to all the sights close to the campground as well to the northern side of the park where we drove through a cattle drive and saw more petroglyphs. It was our first camping trip of the year and it was a lot of fun.

We stayed in #42b over a long Memorial Day weekend. The campground was mostly full the whole weekend. I had done some research on the best spots in Green River campground and I think we got a really good one. B is b loop, not too far or too close to the enterance, easy to get in and out and not busy with cars coming and going either. The site has a large 2 car tandem pad, plenty of room for our 4Runner and Cricket trailer. The site has a couple very large cottonwood trees providing lots of shade and a big rock the boys played cars on. Fire ring and picnic table were in good shape, the grasses were overgrown but not cumbersome. Easy short cut through to the bathrooms, they were clean but older, real toilets and sink with mirror. There was a water fountain outside with an additional faucet, trash was right there too. Firewood for sale as well. This was a great site in the Green River Campground and probably one of the better ones when compared to the other sites.
