We stayed in site 43B in mid-June for 2 nights. The campsite was a good location close to the river and Dinosaur Quarry. We loved playing in the river with our kids. We have a 33 foot travel trailer and the site was easy to back into with enough room for the trailer and the truck. There was not very much shade for this site, a little on the East but nothing on the West to shade us at night, which made it hot at night. The big issue for this site was there were a bunch of red/fire ants in the driveway and in the dirt that made us a little uncomfortable to sit outside by the table.

Nice campground on the Green River with several access points for swimming, wading, fishing, or just sitting by the river. Clean bathrooms with running water; water fountain and spigot for drinkable water (albeit not cold). Sites on the interior of the loop are a little close together for my taste but the sites on the exterior of the loop are nicely spaced. Sites are flat and most (not all) have treet coverage for shade. Chipmunks are everywhere and very bold, so make sure you practice peoper food storage. Easy 5 miles to Visitor's Center and Quarry and several trails.

The hosts were very helpful and our site was well-maintained. Had a great time!
The Quarry Museum is a must and the Field House Museum in Vernal is also excellent.

The camp host was very nice. We were able to switch spots to get a nice shady spot. Hook ups would have been nice due to the heat but the shade helped and the kids enjoyed the wonderful activities Dinosaur had to offer, including the quarry, petroglyphs, and swimming in the river near the boat ramp. The bathrooms had flush toilets and there was a place to refill water bottles at the campsite and visitor center.

The campground is fine and has several sites with adequate shade. Our specific site had no shade, however. So, we spent as little time as possible at the site and returned after 6:30pm.
Other campers were great and not a distraction from sleep and the night sky. The night sky is amazing and it’s worth sleeping with an unobstructed view!

I enjoyed my stay at Green River Campground. Site 75 which is a FF site. You can hear the river at this site. I had my camper/trailer with me which was in the shade at the hottest time of day although the campsite, picnic table and fire ring are in full sun all day and evening. I left my camper there for 3 days while I rafted Gates of Lodore. I bathed in river. Bathroom and freshwater very close. No showers. You hv to dump all gray water in sewer by bathhouse. Nice hike to Split Mtn campground (full sun). Loved the hike at Split Mtn!

We loved staying at Green River Campground. Facilities were sparkling clean, the host kind and knowledgeable, and it was close to Dinosaur so it was very easy to access the quarry and trails. I would stay here again! There are first come first serve sites so if you can't get a reservation there is still a chance you can get a site.

Loved how private each campsite felt, the spaces were great, well marked and easy to find, however, the bathrooms definitely could have been better. They were very dirty and had no options for drying hands. Also, bring A LOT of bug spray. Way more bugs than any of the other national park campsites we stayed at during our trip. Bugs and bathrooms aside though, the stars were incredible and the drive there was equally amazing.

Great campground. Look for spots with shade. It gets very hot.
