The campground host at Mustang Ridge Campground is rude. The bathrooms/showers are only open from 10:00 to 5:00 pm. I don't understand why the host who is parked right next to the bathroom couldn't pop over and unlock them around 7:00 or 8:00 in the morning. The outhouse toilets are filthy. The latch locks have grime on them and the only thing that looks to be regularly cleaned is the toilet itself. Cobwebs and dirt are all over the floor and walls.

Had a good time as always. The hours the shower were open was a real drag. They should have been shifted to include the evenings when people wanted to shower after a day in the sun and before bed. 5:00 was a ridiculous choice,

We love this campground! Our favorite part is overlooking the reservoir. This time our site was close to a group site and there was plenty of room for all to enjoy without feeling like the "neighbors" were to close.

The trailer spots are a little awkward but the rest of the area was great. Plenty of room in between each site, the built-in tables were large and convenient, lots of room to spread out. Great proximity to the water as well!

From Vernal, take U.S. 191 north for 51 miles. Three miles north of Dutch John on U.S. 191, turn west onto Forest Road 184 and travel approximately 2 miles to the campground.
From Manila, Utah, take Highway 44 for 28 miles. Turn left on U.S. 191 and go north for about 13 miles, passing through Dutch John. Three miles north of Dutch John on U.S. 191, turn west onto Forest Road 184 and travel approximately 2 miles to the campground.
From Rock Springs, Wyoming, take I-80 west toward Green River about 6 miles to the junction with U.S. 191/Flaming Gorge Road. Take U.S. 191 south for about 59 miles toward Dutch John. Three miles north of Dutch John on U.S. 191, turn west onto Forest Road 184 and travel approximately 2 miles to the campground.

The single site fee covers the cost of 1 vehicle. Each single site's maximum capacity is 2 vehicles. There will be an extra vehicle fee for the second vehicle collected on site. 2 vehicles = 1 sleeping unit (trailer, pop-up, pickup camper, RV, etc) + 1 passenger vehicle or 2 passenger vehicles. There is not room for 2 sleeping units. |
