Flaming Gorge is a great are in general. This campground was dusty - but that was to be expected, summer in the desert. The swimming cove is a delight and had plenty of cliff jumping opportunities. Highly recommend the rafting day trip/rentals from the resorts in town. Dam visitor center has a phenomenal relief map!

Mustang Ridge hosts do not maintain an acceptable environment for the majority of campers.

Clean camp site and showers. Easy access to running water and porta potty. It was a nice nature walk to the lake from our spot so it was a great stay. I'll be back next season for sure.

The campground is nice enough, and we had a campsite overlooking the water (#43); however, the shower building was closed for the season on Sept. 14 when we arrived. The sole reason I picked this campground was for the shower. There are only 2 campgrounds in the Flaming Gorge Rec area that have showers. Nowhere on the website is it indicated that showers would be shut off after Labor Day. The campground was nearly full, daytime temp was near 80 degrees - why shut down the shower building? I would have chosen a different campground had I known. Websites should include accurate facility information.

Love Mustang Ridge. Site 41 is a perfect site. Great water view. Bit of a walk to the showers, or the restrooms and water, but we like to walk. This is our second time to Mustang Ridge, and any time I am coming from CA thru to Wyoming or parts east I will Stay at Mustang Ridge.
