What Guests Are Saying
The campground at Spruces in Big Cottonwood Canyon offers beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and well-maintained sites, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, great hiking options, and clean facilities, despite some complaints about the restroom situation and water availability. While there have been issues with locked bathrooms and high traffic on weekends, overall experiences highlight the campground's charm and natural beauty.

The weather was in the 20s and it snowed so we were unable to go

Awesome campsite. Love being near the creek and the distance between other sites. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful area and lovely listening to the creek. Only complaints were the ability to hear the highway from our campsite, slightly weird layout of the campsites/loops, unclear host availability for firewood purchase, and not being allowed to wade in the creek (understandable though given the watershed). Secluded site with an incredible view, absolutely loved it.

The campsite we had was amazing but other campsites are not very private at all. Open sites & close together. You could also hear the massive amount of traffic from the main road in the canyon. I didn't like that so much at 7, 8ish in the morning. The bathrooms could have been maintained alot better too. All in all it is a lovely campground in one of the best canyons in America.

Campground is wonderful. Maintanence needs improvement. Potholes at entrance, port-a-potties at group camping sites, and some picnic tables need sanding and painting.
