The campground at Spruces in Big Cottonwood Canyon offers beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and well-maintained sites, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, great hiking options, and clean facilities, despite some complaints about the restroom situation and water availability. My husband and I got married on group site 9 and it was the most magical experience! The scenery was beautiful, the campers around were so sweet, and the camp hosts were so helpful!! We will definitely be coming up here again soon!

We held our family reunion at the spruces group site. It will accommodate 50 people with 18 parking spots. We felt like we were the only folks up there. We had 40 people and what a great place for this. It is beautiful, and we got to use the fire pit.

My family loves this campground because it’s close to home and makes for a good weekend camping trip. There is running water & flush toilets which is always a bonus. Close to so many hikes up Big Cottonwood including many family friendly ones. Some sites have small areas for a tent but you can usually make it work. Some of the camp tables could use a fresh coat of paint but overall this campground is great.
