What Guests Are Saying
The campground at Spruces in Big Cottonwood Canyon offers beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and well-maintained sites, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, great hiking options, and clean facilities, despite some complaints about the restroom situation and water availability. While there have been issues with locked bathrooms and high traffic on weekends, overall experiences highlight the campground's charm and natural beauty.

We have a 27 ft (total length) travel trailer. We managed to get it in but the roads are narrow and site 53 was a tight fit because of the curve in the road. Site 53 shares the driveway and if a car had been in the spot, it would have been impossible. It is a beautiful place but many of the tables are broken and many of the sites don't have a flat place for a tent. And glamping tents that are not always occupied take up about 10 spots. Seems like a waste if they are not being used.

First time here, excellent campground with flush toilets and running water. Some sites are too short for RV so make sure it lists appropriate length on site before booking. I will definitely be back!

I picked campsite #9 & what they don’t tell you is that this is the FIRST CAMPSITE in the entire place. So strange that #9 is literally in the front.
Road noise was awful as well.
Overall, I enjoyed it but please fix your campsite numbers.

There are not enough camp hosts to keep this property up. The rest rooms were not cleaned and often out of toilet tissue. The toilet nearest to us had been used several times in a clogged condition -- very disgusting.
Firepits had not been cleaned after previous use. We only saw a camp host once a day during our week stay.
This property is going down fast !

I was a bit skeptical at first, some of the spots seem a little cramped together but when we got to our spot it was great! Super quiet, clean, and relaxing! We will definitely be back!

Place is steadily going downhill. Facilities trashed, road a mess, and the bathrooms were a wreck for all 3 day. Might be better to find somewhere else to go for car camping.

What a pleasant surprise! We loved our campsite right next to a small tributary creek.
