The campground at Spruces in Big Cottonwood Canyon offers beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and well-maintained sites, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, great hiking options, and clean facilities, despite some complaints about the restroom situation and water availability. The spaces were a bit snug and difficult to get into but the campground itself was fantastic. Beautiful, clean and right on the water. We were able to see a few families of moose strolling through and playing on the volleyball court.

Always my favorite place to camp, it’s only 25 minutes to home or the city, even when fully booked you are away from your campground neighbors, and it’s a great place to escape the summer heat of the Salt Lake Valley.

Nice site, however only room for a small tent. Fitting 6 camp chairs around the fire pit was really tight.

Map wasn't very accurate. We thought the bathrooms would be closer than what they were

Great location and great camping spot. So glad we registered a month out or we wouldn't have been able to get in to Spruces as they were booked solid.
Camp host was very friendly.

I strongly recommend this campground. You can see moose in the morning if you are lucky. Camp sites are spacious as well.
