The campground at Spruces in Big Cottonwood Canyon offers beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and well-maintained sites, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, great hiking options, and clean facilities, despite some complaints about the restroom situation and water availability. Great location in BCC. Easy to get to nearby hikes before those living in the valley. Our campsites were perfect for a small group (sites 22 and 23). The parking was adjoined and there was a lot of extra space for yard games, etc. A trail leading to Donut Falls Trailhead was right by the campsite. Would try and get those spots again. Bathrooms were clean enough. Some of the other campers were noisy but not the campground's fault. They are pretty strict about charging for the extra car, even though our site had oodles of room.

The grounds were clean. There was always toilet paper in e restrooms. The fire pit was great! The cleaning and campground staff were amazing. The only down fall of our site (53) was the area our tent sat on was on a slant which made for a rough night sleep as we would slide down to the bottom of our tent each night. Other then that it was great! We will be back for sure!

I loved this campground! There are so many wonderful hikes close-by. However, it does get a fair bit of noise from the highway that runs through the canyon. Bring earplugs.

Some camp spots can be a little close to neighbors, but not horrible. Beautiful area, moose came through camp! Friendly camp hosts came by once to say hi and see if I needed anything.

Site 056 was incredible. Me and my son had a very peaceful evening, an enjoyable campfire and quiet rest in our tent and hammock. The host paid us a visit and shared with us the moose visits in the area as well as top sites for future use.
