The campground at Spruces in Big Cottonwood Canyon offers beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and well-maintained sites, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, great hiking options, and clean facilities, despite some complaints about the restroom situation and water availability. Campsite was clean. Water available. Restrooms very clean. Campsites are very close to one another so do not expect a lot of privacy. Lots of hikes nearby. Fun place to camp with kids.

We love Spruces! Jenny, the campground host is AMAZING! Very friendly and helpful. We stayed in number 95 this time. It had room for 2 small tents and also room for 4 hammocks. Lots of shade! Right next to the river.

When we wanted a shadier picnic spot, the ranger was very accommodating and let us move to an unoccupied site.

We have a large group stay at Spruces every year and it's always a great experience! Restrooms are easy to locate, we love using the volleyball court, and there's always more than enough room for us. Super easy to just drive in and set up!

We have camped at the Spruces every year for about 20 years, so this review comes with some background. The campsite is wonderful. 20 minutes up the canyon and it feels like you're in another world from Salt Lake City. The camp hosts were exceptional this past year and contributed to the wonderful experience.
