Check in process was excellent! Layout of the park was described, all services pin-pointed, rules reviewed. Additionally, I found out I had a discount I didn't know about, so I got a partial refund of the camping fee. Park was very quiet, lots of places to walk the dog. Since it was during the week the park was pretty empty. I would definitely stay here again.

I was harassed the whole time. I was there even Even though I told Them that I was suffering From PSDT.. They were rude and uncaring and thought that they were FBI OR SOMETHING. This is the worst i've seen from any vespecially brockmart

2nd time staying here. Hosts were super helpful. Everything about my stay went great!

Gates locked us in. Not a place for fisherman! Staff was unwilling to let us out any earlier and were extremely unkind. Even went as far as having a ranger stop by to reiterate the lock in policy. I have camped in dozens of sites in this area and have never experienced anything like this! I will not be coming back here!

This is a gem of a campground. Well spaced sites, clean restrooms, friendly camp hosts. The only negative- super hot daytime highs, but that isn't the campground/park's fault. It cooled off to a reasonable sleeping temperature at night (this was the 2nd week in July 2023... hot everywhere in the southwest). We drove up to see the lava fields- they are astounding! Because of the heat and since we were only stopping for the night we didn't take in anything else the park had to offer, but we will be back when the temperatures are more moderate and spend several nights so we can explore the lava fields, Sunset Crater, and Wupatki National Monument.

Clean, maintained campground. The playground was well situated. The restroom and shower building had poor ventilation, making it extremely hot, humid, stinky, etc.

I camped at site 33, when I went to leave my site the garbage container made it hard to exit.. It stuck out to far. I needed help so I would not hit it with my trailer.
