What Guests Are Saying
Hood Park is a beautiful, well-maintained campground with friendly and helpful staff, offering spacious sites and scenic views along the Snake River. Many families appreciate the park's peaceful atmosphere, clean facilities, and good fishing opportunities. However, some guests noted issues with spiders, bees, and tree maintenance, suggesting improvements in pest control and tree trimming for a safer experience, especially for families with young children.

We stayed in a tent. They run sprinklers daily, so you have to be careful where you place your tent. Campground had a lot of bugs at the sites. We were downhill from the bathroom building so it was quite a hike up to it. You also have to move your tent every two days to keep the grass from dying. Having electric hookup was nice but they also lock the gates from 10pm to 6am so you can't get in or out, which we didn't really feel super comfortable with.

The park is clean, and the sites are not close to each other. It was very easy to make reservations online. Not having sewer hook ups is a small price to pay to get such low overnight rates. We've stayed here many times and will continue to do so in the future. It is close enough to town that if you need something it's right there. But far enough outside of town to feel like you've gone somewhere.

Super helpful and friendly camp hosts! Park is kept in great condition. Loved staying here with a view of the water. Wish we could've stayed longer.

We have stayed at this park in the past and enjoyed it. Our most recent trip was good in many ways but the swim are was closed due to algae. Also there were a lot of bees/wasps. Not sure that there is much can be done about either issue. It's a very nice park with lots of trees and the sites are spacious.

Very nice park! Ranger was very helpful. Only reason rating is 4 not 5 stars is the sites only have electricity. We would definitely stay again

A lovely spot with a helpful, conscientious host.
The downside was noise from boats on the river at night and traffic from the bridge at all hours. Remember the 50% off if you have the golden passport

The staff were great. Very helpful. The site (#27) was backwards but they helped us get into it quickly. The view was great but out the wrong window...
Fun watching the barges and the trains were interesting as well - but just a little close to the site...
