What Guests Are Saying
Haag Cove Campground offers a peaceful and clean environment, surrounded by beautiful ponderosa pines and abundant wildlife, making it ideal for quiet retreats and paddling. While there are some limitations, such as no potable water and occasional disturbances from other campers, the serene atmosphere and stunning views are highlights. Some visitors noted issues with oversight and amenities, but many expressed a desire to return for the natural beauty and tranquility.

This campground is very basic and clean. During my stay it was very quiet with only a few people using it. No potable water, no grill, and no great beach but you can access the water. Also, WA has a strict no burn ban and that really seemed to be overkill. I didn’t have a pre arranged booking and cell service was dicey so I had to drive up the hill to get enough service to book. The setting was relaxing among the big ponderosa pines.

We returned to Haag Cove for July 4th weekend, having camped here on non-holidays in prior years. This campground does not have a Host or Ranger presence, and some campers definitely take advantage of the lack of oversight. We were in a burn ban, with messaging clearly posted, yet a few campers still built campfires. There was an impressive fireworks show that lasted well past quiet hours.
Our family likes this campground for the peaceful deer that wander through, and the calm water for paddling. But I don't know if we will return unless it's outside of fire season, or if a full-time campground Host is established.

The campground was very quiet and was nice to see the wildlife just freely walk through the camp. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and restocked. Definitely plan on coming back! Lots of shade wasn't to much sun, lots of water access.
Just be prepared for mosquito!

Site was nice, view was amazing! A perfect spot with an interesting walk over a dried river bed to the low water of the river. Will be back, mind the falling pinecones!

Lovely little campground, with amazing views with the low water this time of year. Would definitely recommend.

Great campsite as usual but i was the only camper and had a few cars a day just pull up and stop in front of my trailer, sit for 1-2 minutes and just pull away? A little suspicious. And the dumpsters were taken for the season so i had to haul all of my trash out which wasn't a huge deal, overall beautiful campground and great views!
