What Guests Are Saying
Haag Cove Campground offers a peaceful and clean environment, surrounded by beautiful ponderosa pines and abundant wildlife, making it ideal for quiet retreats and paddling. While there are some limitations, such as no potable water and occasional disturbances from other campers, the serene atmosphere and stunning views are highlights. Some visitors noted issues with oversight and amenities, but many expressed a desire to return for the natural beauty and tranquility.

It is a beautiful place, lots of wildlife, quiet and serene. We pretty much had the campground to ourselves except for 2 night s there were 2 other campers. Only bad experience was that on day 1 someone with a drone was hovering over our campsite about 10 ft in the air, watching me while I cooked dinner on our grill. Day 3 drone appeared again 5 ft from the back of our rv, watching me while I was sitting outside. We believe that whoever is flying the drone is a resident on Haag rd. Someone with out tree obstructions. The drone took off at a fast pace back towards the white house at the bend in the cove. This was very unnerving. If it wasn't for FAA rules, we would have shot it down. Don't know if they are scoping out to steal or just pervs.

My husband and I had site 13. There was absolutely zero shade or privacy, and no picnic table. I ended up modifying the reservation to stay our second night at a different campground altogether.

This is a great little campground. For the most part the RV useable sites aren't jammed right together which is nice. However as noted in the campground information there is sparse to no vegetation separating the sites. Most of the RV parking sites are reasonably level and several are double width. There are two of the newer concrete vault toilets which were very clean with good handicap access. There is not water or trash receptacles available. Each campsite has the typical steel fire ring with grate and a table. The beach is readily accessible, and the lake floor maintains a gentle slope for a considerable distance out. The beach is mostly sand and small round rock. We observed otters on the mornings we were there. A few of the RV sites have good shade available but most do not. We visited in the fall during the week so there were few other campers present. The campground is about a 15 minute drive from Kettle Falls. We will camp again at this campground.

From wild turkeys to deer to ducks and geese--lots of wildlife viewing. Peace and quiet this time of year!! We combed the beaches for garbage and picked it up, too. Such nice weather, we stayed an extra day!!!

Enjoyable campground. Easy to find. The swimming hole is shallow and nice. While there is not many sites here, it was very packed with people when I was there. Loud late into the night with sites fairly close to one another. Additionally, some of the beach was difficult to get to because it appeared to only be accessible through other campsites. Otherwise, the view was nice and the water was great.

It's a great place to camp and swim. Facilities are adequate and the trash cans where emptied while we were there. Highly recommend this campground for your summer swimming and camping excursions. Great start for an easy walk to Sherman point.

Beautiful quite place to visit. We were in several tent sights. #16 was my favorite with the water and beach right behind us.

The restrooms were full and smelled bad. Two nights stay and never saw a park service employee check on anything.
