About Hawk Creek Campground

Hawk Creek Campground is tucked back from the lake on Hawk Creek. The campground is popular, but small enough to feel private and secluded. A small waterfall adds ambiance to this beautiful and unique campground. Hawk Creek is close to Fort Spokane Visitor Center, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle. A courtesy dock provides access to Lake Roosevelt.

Great place, lots of different birds. Herons, osprey, ducks, geese and of coarse crows. Frogs, crayfish, otters and deer.

Worst camping experience. No shade and no privacy. The site was small even though i entered the length of my trailer and my truck into the information on the reservation site. Bugs were out of this world horrible. The lake was nasty and more like a swamp. The park ranger told me the kids can't play on the dock because it's given preference for boaters. There weren't any boats and he only told me that and not the other adults that were actually on the dock. There was only one way in and one way out so if something were to happen we would all be trapped. There were a couple of decent sites but so much traffic for such a small loop that it was ridiculous. Won't be returning.
