What Guests Are Saying
Marcus Island Campground offers a stunning and peaceful location right on the water, perfect for nature lovers and those seeking a quiet getaway. The campground is well-maintained, with clean facilities and beautiful lakefront sites, ideal for RVs and some tent camping. While access to water can be challenging at times, and some sites are closely spaced, the scenic views and abundant wildlife make it a favorite destination for many visitors.

The location was great. However the water had receded so much that it was difficult to get to it.

We had the campground to ourselves and right on the water
We have a 37’ pusher pulling a jeep
Some very sharp turns n narrow roads - be careful especially after dark (when we arrived).

We stayed in mid-October on two weekdays. We were the only campers in the campground. Absolutely stunning with several lakefront sites. Toilets and sites were well maintained and clean. Cell signal was a steady two bars.

There should be specific generator hours only, not anytime (all of the time) outside of quiet hours of 7am to 10pm.
Trailer in slot 10 ran there generator constantly, and ran a long cord to place it away from them too. They didn't care about the noise because they stayed in their unit most all of the time.

They're fairly well kept up but most sites are way too close together! If I could get one of the end spots I would rate it Very Good. Tents are almost touching with the other campsites... Invite a friend if you you are concerned...

Love campsite 15, but this last stay the neighbour's across from us were not great. Being right by the water is awesome and so enjoyable.
