Been going to Marcus Island for 50 years. My late husband and I fell in love with the campground first time we went. Now our kids and grandkids are enjoying it too!! Not a bad thing to say about it. 🤗

It was great one suggestion tho the camp site number 25 would be a perfect place to make a handicap spot its close to bathrooms its close to the water it just needs a cover area over pinic table that be perfect think about

Clean campground! Fairly quiet when we went there in mid-August. Well maintained vault toilets. Campground is good for bicycles. Many short trails down to the river. Kind of hard to walk along the shore sometimes due to rocks IF you are wearing flip flops, but just wear sensible shoes and you can go shore fishing!

Weather conditions were very poor during to the wildfires in the area, winds were strong enough to make swimming/ paddle boarding unsafe. Had to leave the campground two days early because of this.

Fantastic campground experience for Independence Day. Each site was full by the holiday, but the sites were dispersed enough to be relatively quiet. There are multiple trails down to the water, although a couple take you directly past/through assigned campsites. Bathrooms were nice and clean, well stocked, and smelled better than expected. I stayed at site 4 and was happy with the layout. It looks like site 16 has the best access to a set of stairs down to the water, but there are numerous sites with good views on the west end of the island. Cell service with Verizon was strong all weekend, and I rebooked my next camping trip for the campground after loving it so much. See you again soon!

Getting There
Take Washington state Highway 395 north from Spokane. Travel 70.3 mi to the town of Kettle Falls, take Highway 25 north and travel 5.7 mi. Follow signs to the campground. It is on the west side of the highway.
Highway access
Marcus Island Campground is accessible via Highway 25, which runs nearby. The campground is approximately 14 miles from US Highway 2.
Policies & Rules
General
- Reservation only campground. No first come first served sites available. Reservation only. For reservations book here, or call 877-444-6777. There is no cell service so make sure to make your reservations in advance.
- There are no electricity, water or sewer site hookups.
- No potable water or flush toilets available.
- Pets are allowed and must be restrained at all times.
- No livestock.
- No off-road vehicles allowed.
- No off-road parking; park in designated areas only.
- No metal detecting or collecting of artifacts allowed.
- No generator usuage during our Quiet Hours of ,
- Fires are permitted in the fire rings year-round, EXCEPT when the fire danger rating reaches a critical level as indicated by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the area that includes Lake Roosevelt NRA.
- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
- Weekly Boat Launch Permits must be purchased on line at https://www.pay.gov/public/form/start/656441199 . Please purchase prior to your trip. Annual Boat Launch Permits are available in person by vendor only.
