The site was clean and far enough away from other camper to feel very private. The other campers and forest service personnel we met were friendly and very helpful. The fresh water line to our campsite was broken but where available the water was clean clear and delicious.

The campground, during the week, was very quiet. The hosts were very personable and kept the vault toilet clean. There is a trailer dump at the campground, which I couldn’t find listed on Recreation.gov‘s website. There is one manual water pump on the lower loop near the beginning of the loop. We were told that the water pipe for the upper loop is currently broken, so the facets you see, do not work. The only one that works is along the road to the boat ramp and there’s one at the trailer dump.

Nice enough back-in site in the more rustic side of the campground. Somewhat level site, with picnic table and fire ring aft of the parking pad. I had to dig out the leveling blocks to have enough height to get the rear of my rig level. I didn’t notice a good place for a tent to be erected on this site. Also it was right next to the dumpsters, so site privacy was limited and there was frequent slamming door noise from the dumpsters. It was very nearby the hand pump for water. It is a short bike ride to the day use and boat ramp area. And apparently there is an ad-hoc trail from this camping loop down to the lake. Tall trees provide good shade in the early morning and late afternoon, but the cannily is rather thing, so little protection from mid-day sun. Only discovered that there is a fee based RV dump station on site once we got there.

Nice back in campsite, gravel parking pad. Somewhat level, but not perfect. Requires digging out the leveling blocks to provide enough heigth for the jacks to do their job. Good location of fire pit and picnic table relative to parking pad. Limited space for tent setup as the trees are very close one another.

Peace and quiet. Campground host quickly corrected site reservation error. Campground host was working on water system during our stay. We’ll book this one again.

Nice campground west of Yakima. I’ve stayed 3 times now. Mid-week camping is great here as there are few sites occupied.

My daughter and I stayed here while we were on a weel long road trip. We were greeted by the very friendly camp host, who helped us find our camping spot. The scenery is incredible! The facilities were very clean, as was the whole campground. This is a great place to come to if you just want to relax.
