We love this campgound...its open year round, which we appreciate. The nearby trail and Old Kettle Falls town site are fun to explore, especially when the water level of Lake Roosevelt is low and submerged sidewalks and foundations appear.
I rated the Campground 4 stars because the sites, while large, are not private and we've been treated to our neighbor's music and generator into the wee hours on more than one occasion.

Beautiful location right on the Columbia River, very quiet and peaceful for winter camping (we were the only people there on a Friday night in January) but I imagine it is much more lively in the summer. Far enough away from big cities to have fabulous views of the stars without any light pollution. Also the cleanest pit toilet I've ever used, and I've been camping for 37 years.

We camp at Kettle all summer. We really like it there. It's always clean and well kept. We were very disappointed though that all the loops were not open after Oct 1. We usually stay in loop 2. It would have been better if we could have stayed in the regular spot we reserve.

Close to the boat launch, to town, and to a local highway. You’ll see bald eagles and hear the air-brakes from descending trucks. I was late in the season after they close 2/3 of the grounds and the water, but still enjoyed the beauty of the surrounding areas.

Late season stay. Lots of open spaces. Site was level and rock free. Vault toilet was clean.

Closing the public restrooms on Oct 1st wan not great. If you are taking reservations for people to camp you need to keep the restrooms open at least until Oct 31

A very nice campground, easy access dock for boating, and the fishing can be good. The mill north of the campground has some noise you can hear in the evenings is the only down side but it is not too bad.
