We had a great time! I was a little leery after reading some of the negative reviews, but we had so much fun! The campground is pretty quiet at night but no one minded because we spent all day on the lake so were ready for bed earlier. There is a little store/cafe which was nice, but also a grocery store only 8 miles away. Definitely bring bug spray because the mosquitoes were out!!! Aug 2020

Loved our spacious campsite with river view. Marina is well lit and clean. Great boating just as we remember from camping here years ago!

Each individual camping spots too close to one another; no privacy and lots of noise around.

This is a city campground. Parents let theire kids invade other people's camping space. To noisy for me. Kids ran, screamed up untill 11pm. I caught I kid using my jeep as a roadway driving her car all around on my jeep. To crowded. Never again.

the campground is ok but we were unable to find the swimming area. There is some kind of lumber milling facility up the lake that you can hear at night. The water faucet closest to our site was spraying about a foot out from the spout. There are not enough water faucets throughout the camp. as we were packing to leave the person holding the dog leash dropped it because he had his hands full and before he could pick it up, a staff person drove by in a golf cart and said "get your dog on a leash" which he actually was and he was right at the feet of the person who had just dropped the leash. rude and unnecessary.

Overall, really wanted to like this place but it just wasn’t for me.
The bad: The mosquitos were too much the first night. Swirling around us. No amount of bug spray helped. The neighbors were really loud into the night, past midnight. To top it off, there was construction overnight across the lake that woke us up around midnight. I heard the noise past 2am. The spots are relatively close together so felt very crowded.
The good: clean, well stocked bathrooms. Park hosts made regular checks throughout the day and evening. They were quick to clean and prep camp sites between visitors. Lots of trails nearby to explore. Beautiful area. Would recommend spots along the lake (63 on loop 3 looked the nicest).

I really liked you could reserve the camp spots. I sure wish there was a shower even if we had to pay for a shower it would be worth it!
