Cougar Rock Campground offers spacious, clean sites with good privacy and easy access to Mount Rainier trails, making it an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts. Great spot! Well-kept, good location, good spacing between sites. Bathrooms are clean and there is potable water. A little more concrete than expected where we had to place our tent, so definitely recommend some sleeping pads. The view of the mountain is incredible, too. And there is a cool trail with a river crossing just across the street.

It is nice to be close to Mt. Rainer for a few days, but after that I would plan on hitting the road. Very busy park with lots of people, so you have to do your homework to escape the crowds.

The campground and facilities were so clean! We enjoyed having some space between the sites as well. Perfect first camping trip for our son (4 months!).

Cougar Rock Campground is very nice. Each site is big and private. They are surrounded by tall trees and tent pad is nicely built. The amphitheater is beautiful and the ranger program that I attended about the night light and sound was informative and entertaining. The only drawback is that there is no shower facility and the bathroom was too far to walk for some sites including mine.

Great location to the skyline trail. Cleanish bathroom. Very quiet despite neighboring sites pretty close.

This is a lively campground, great sites, quiet and would definitely stay there again. What was exceptionally nice was the fire ban, a smoke free campground is wonderful for those that don’t enjoy the smoke.

Site A14 had a large flat tent site that took tent stakes well, and a picnic table and bear box both in good repair. Parking area was of appropriate size. Only (very minor) complaint was a pothole on one side of parking area where it adjoined the road, but it was easily avoided. Enjoyed 2 days of hiking through awesome country while there.
